Inlecom have expertise in both applied and basic research. In basic research we are keenly interested in scientific research that aims to improve scientific theories in support of improved understanding, cognition, prediction and analyses for ICT related advancements. In applied research we are keen to exploit scientific knowledge, theories and background art to advance both technologies and techniques towards commercially scalable and viable product and/or solution offerings. Inlecom are keenly interested in growing and expanding in commercial tenders, as well as both applied and basic research partnerships in our areas of strength.

Dr. Takis Katsoulakos

'Holds a BSc, MSc and PhD in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and is R&D Director of Inlecom Group since 1996 responsible for the development of the KBOS platform, EU projects and commercial contracts. From Sept 81 to Dec 96 he was with Lloyds Register of Shipping in later years as Senior Principal Surveyor and Head of Applied Information Engineering responsible software development, software assessment services and research and development including some thirty Information Technology projects many in maritime applications. He served as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of the European Software Institute (1994-1997); Chairman of the Foundation of Enterprise Knowledge Development (1992-1994); Visiting Professor, Computing Science Dept University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (1995-1996); Chairman of many Software Engineering conferences including the IEEE Software Standards. He has published widely. In the last 4 years he has been involved in the technical management of all the INLECOMS projects. Overall 30 year experience in coordinating EU projects. IOANNA FERGADIOTOU

'Holds a degree in Physics from Athens University, master degrees in Information Technology & Management (National Technical University of Athens) and Educational Technology (Athens University). She has an over 10-years work experience as a learning consultant, specialised in the design and management of human capital development interventions, using IT-facilitated learning environments. She has participated in over 30 National, European and International -research and commercial- projects, in the fields of Knowledge Management, e-learning and courseware instructional design. From 2003 to 2012 she held the position of a Training Manager at Vocational Training SA and the National Institute of Labor and Human Resources (both operating under the supervision of the Hellenic Ministry of Employment). She has also worked for five years as a project manager in Software Companies (ATC) and for three years as a Research Assistant at the University of Athens. eLearning services company (PLP) owner from 2007 to 2013. PATRICK DURKIN
Bio'Patrick has led a range of commercial enterprises over an extensive career in enterprise technology. From an early career in software development in Boeing, he moved to software sales in global technology providers such as Teradata and Informix. In 1999, he was appointed country manager for SAS Institute in Ireland and over 7 years delivered consistent year-on-year growth. Subsequently as CEO of iQuate, he led the company from a very early stage to become a recognised global leader in IT cost optimisation. DR. PAT O’SULLIVAN
BioDirector of Innovation & IT Solutions
'Pat held numerous Executive and VP facing roles spanning 23 consecutive years at IBM, where he led countless projects and teams across Ireland, UK, USA, China, Japan, Israel, France, Korea, Germany and India. Throughout his 28 year career Pat has demonstrated a passion for results driven innovation that leads to new commercial products, new technologies and new high value software engineering jobs in Europe. It is in the context of this passion that he joins Inlecom, Prior to joining Inlecom, Pat was the CTO & Chief Scientist at IBM Ireland’s Innovation Project Office, where he was overseeing new innovation projects across IBM Ireland’s 4,000 staff. He was also recognised as an IBM STSM in 2008, which was an IBM world wide divisional banding awarded to only 12 of IBM Ireland’s senior leaders/managers, and which recognizes significant scientific and leadership contributions well beyond those expected of IBM’s senior managers, scientists and leaders. Throughout his career Pat has demonstrated his passion for Innovation, evidenced by over 500+ USPTO filed patents, several of which are filed in multiple countries. He also has numerous published papers, with two papers from his work winning the Smith Testimonial Prize and the Mullins Medal respectively at Engineers Ireland. Both of Pat’s MSc and PhD research projects were industry funded and won industry prizes in 1997 and 2001 respectively, and several of his patents have also won industry awards for scientific innovation, advancement and excellence. Pat is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers of Ireland and he holds the FEANI title of Eur Ing. As an extra curricular activity Pat is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Limerick and at Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland, as well as an External Examiner at IT Tallaght. In his spare time he assists as an External Examiner, Adjunct Professor, Guest Speaker/Lecturer and Industry Advisory Board member for several Irish & European Universities, Industry partners, SMEs, Government & Research Bodies. Pat has led numerous commercialisation projects, contracts and teams over 27 years, including teams of over 135 staff in size. His work has led to numerous successful advancements, technologies, spin-ins and spin-outs. As an example, Logentries was a spin-out company from a joint funded Science Foundation Ireland funded project, the innovation in which Pat conceived and led at his lab over 4 years, and in 2015 Logentries was acquired by Rapid7 for $68m. Alongside the day job Pat currently enjoys several active partnerships and collaborations with Science Foundation Ireland, Ireland’s Industrial Development Authority, Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Research Council, the European Commission and with various University and Industry Partners across Europe. He has a strong international profile, evidenced by 130+ written citations from senior Industry, Government and Academic leaders across USA, EMEA and APAC on his LinkedIn profile. DR. ZISSIS PALASKAS

'Holds an MSc and PhD in Control Systems/Intelligent User Interfaces from the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Aristoteleion University. He has extensive experience in Decision Support Systems, Data-Warehouse & Data Mining, On-line Analytical Processing, e-Business. In ILS Zisis Palaskas is leading Research and Development projects in the Transportation and Logistics sector, and is directing the area of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics activities. In IT and Business Consulting he was Manager in Deloitte & Touche Consulting in Information Technology Services, focusing on E-Business B2B services, managing project engagements for IT strategy. He was manager in KPMG Management Consulting in Business and IT consulting Services, managing IT Strategy projects, MIS, Financial Business Modelling. He was a Technical Partner at Cinsight focusing on the development of Business Intelligence Solutions for Financial and Operations Improvement Applications. He was IT Project Manager with ATC for an outsourcing contract with OPENBET. He was Business Development Manager in Computer Studio for Consulting Services, development methodologies and ERP. In IT Operations Management and Product Development he was IT Manager at KINTEC S.A., supporting the expanding business operations of the company in the Telecoms Sector, in customer projects and product development for remote security, monitoring and control of Mobile Telephony assets. In Advisory positions for the Public Sector, he was IT advisor to the President of National Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Post in system implementation, web presence participated in teams developing regulations, and monitored reported in internal operations. He was advisor to the General Secretary of Information Technology in the Ministry of Economics & Finance, participating in Tender Specifications for the TAXIS system and the Government to Citizen Services as regards the Land Property. In Research and Development he is task manager and technical contributor-author in projects of FP7, eSymbiosis, iCargo. In the past, he was Technology Director in «01 PLIROFORIKI» a Greek IT consulting firm, leading the R&D (project Manager of TOOBIS), Software Development, and Consultancy activities. and was R&D manager of Expert Systems International. KONSTANTINOS LOUPOS
Bio'Holds an M.Sc. in Microelectronics Systems Design (University of Southampton, UK) with distinction and an M.Eng. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (University of Manchester, UK) and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Fundamentals Expert (SFC). He has an extensive experience in embedded systems and sensors and microelectronics systems. His research interests and activities range in Sensors and systems for Structural Health Monitoring (tunnels, structures, bridges etc), Robotic Systems, Security Systems (sensors and communications), Water Demand Management, Monitoring and Leakage Detection, Fiber-Optic Monitoring Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks and Communication Systems and Application Specific Embedded Systems. Konstantinos Loupos has actively and successfully participated in a series (more than 25, since 2004) of EC co-funded research projects (FP5, FP6 and FP7, H2020, MED, GSRT and other) in the areas of SEC, ICT, SME, NMP, COOP, MED, CBC-MED and TRANSPORT, with significant positions of responsibility (Project Coordinator, Technical Manager, Leader of Development teams etc). He is also serving as an EC expert (proposal’s evaluator) in the topics of TRANSPORT, NMP and SOCIETAL CHALLENGES. He has more than 60 publications in Conference Proceedings, Journals and Book Chapters.'- Date

DR. IBAD KURESHI
Bio'Holds three degrees in Computer Science which includes a PhD from the University of Huddersfield specialising in High Performance Computing and Data Analytics. He then did his Post Doctorate with the Institute of Advanced Research Computing, followed by a Fellowship with the Department of Computing Science at Durham University. Since 2009 he has delivered projects, technology solutions, and publications in the fields of Large Scale Computation (HPC and Cloud), Modelling and Simulation (statistical methods, AI/deep learning, and agent based), Big Data (infrastructure and processing), and Data Analytics (geospatial, numerical, network/graph, econometric). His published works include a contribution to the book “Software Applications for Big Data and Cloud” from ELSEVIER, and several papers to IEEE’s Big Data and ACM’s Knowledge Discovery and Data-Mining.'- Date

POLYDOROS MANIMANAKIS
Bio'Graduating from the Applied Mathematical and Physical Science (MEng) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Polydoros has developed a version of a machine-learning algorithm for community tracking of Twitter API in python 3.5 for the National Centre of Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos”. Has also designed and developed a parallel version of the algorithm using Apache Flink. He is currently working as the primary researcher in the MaaS4EU project.'- Date

Jenny Rainbird
Bio'Jenny Rainbird (F), MBA, has joined INLECOM as a Senior Project Manager. Following a career in the Royal Navy where she was active in communications, Jenny has over 20 years of experience managing large, complex and multi-disciplinary EU funded research projects in the areas of safety, security, maritime operations and transport including projects, which required the management of large-scale trials. Recent projects include coordination of the VAMOS project (Viable Alternative Mine Operating System, http://vamos-project.eu/) and the AUGGMED project (Serious Gaming Platform for Multi Agent terrorist training, auggmed-project.eu). Jenny was the Security Representative for EUROSKY (Single European Secure Air-cargo Space, euroskyproject.eu) and on the Security Scrutiny Committee for iPATCH (Intelligent Piracy Avoidance using Threat detection and Countermeasure Heuristics).'- Date
