PROFILE (www.profile-project.eu ) is a European H2020 project that leverages modern data analytics and new logistics customs big data sources for effective customs risk management, applying innovative machine learning, graph-based analytics, and natural language processing to customs processes to help targeting officers and strategic analysts identify high-risk cross-border movements. Further, PROFILE implements a Risk Data Sharing Architecture with embedded support for data protection (GDPR compliant) that strengthens the cooperation and data exchanges among customs and other competent authorities, enabling secure customs-to-customs systematic sharing of risk-relevant information.
